Training

Superior has always provided and demanded both apprenticeship training and continuing education for its journeymen and managers. Attached is a copy of our training schedules.

The curriculum taught in classes at Superior had its beginnings in 1990 when Jim Gander was on the steering committee at the Red Wing Technical College for the plumbing school. Jim went on to teach the class for three years.  The funding from the state dried up so Jim purchased an inventory of curriculum from Associates Builders and Contractors and the National Association of Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Contractors. Over the years, our current curriculum evolved from three sources. Superior Plumbing has taught apprentices from over twenty other open shop companies as well as its own. In 2003,  Vice President of Operations at Superior, Craig Curley took over the responsibilities of education and training.

In addition to apprenticeship training,  Superior has made serious investments in continuing education for its leaders including: management training, continuing professional training, spokesperson training and other educational opportunities. See attached certificates.
